The Deodrant Swap

TalloTalk #2: The Deodrant Swap

Let’s kick off our second low-tox swap series with something most of us use every single day: deodorant.

Here’s the deal—most mainstream deodorants are packed with stuff your body doesn’t need. We’re talking aluminium, synthetic fragrance (a catch-all term for who-knows-what), and preservatives that don’t belong anywhere near your lymph nodes.

The swap?

Look for a natural deodorant that’s aluminium-free and fragrance-free, with ingredients you can actually pronounce—like magnesium, arrowroot, and nourishing oils.

My go-to:

I personally use Wild Natural Deodorant—it’s refillable, low-tox, and actually works. Plus, the scents come from essential oils, not mystery chemicals.

Other options to check out:

Salt of the Earth Natural Deodorant Spray – great for teens or sensitive skin.

Nuud Natural Deodorant – tiny tube, long-lasting, zero junk.

Weleda Citrus Deodorant – fresh, simple, and made by a brand that respects your skin and the planet.

A heads-up:

Your pits might go through a little detox phase as they adjust. It’s totally normal (and worth it).

Remember—it’s not about perfection, it’s about progress. One swap at a time adds up to a whole lot of good.

Tried one you love? Let us know which ones work for you, so we can share with each other.

With love,

Nicola x
